Maikanh Nguyen is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2020. She holds a BFA in Fashion Design from the California College of the Arts and an MFA in Knitwear Design from the Academy of Art University, USA.

redress Design Award Collection

For her Redress Design Award 2020 collection, 11A3, Maikhanh takes inspiration from the memories and dreams embedded in a staple of our formative years - the school uniform. Tapping into this plentiful waste resource for her textile source she transforms basic shirts and skirts into eye-catching designs, repeating shapes and layers across her collection.
