Nicole Kim Ang is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2020. She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion Design at the Raffles Design Institute Singapore, and is currently a buyer and merchandiser at MAZE Fashion.

redress Design Award Collection

For her Redress Design Award collection, Ang Pagsamo, Nicole emphasizes the adverse effects of deforestation: biodiversity loss, soil drying, water shortage, air pollution, and CO2 emissions. She applies zero-waste, up-cycling, and reconstruction techniques on surplus textiles and cut-and-sew waste, secondhand clothing and found objects. Garments are designed with removable elements to be easily mixed and matched.
