Sheeky is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2021. She holds a BA in Apparel and Accessories Design from Sichuan Normal University, China.

redress Design Award Collection

Sheeky’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Brave Blue’, celebrates traditional plant dyeing methods and the subtle colour changes that develop with time making each item unique. She upcycles indigo dyed and natural fabrics and secondhand clothing, over-dyeing with techniques of stencil dyeing and indigo with accents of pink achieved via sappan wood dyeing. Sheeky applies patchwork to combine a variety of fabrics to achieve a high-quality, versatile collection with a sense of conflict and fusion between the modern and the past.
