redress Design Award Collection

Melissa’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘NÓS’, recovers the connection between love and pain, expressed by grief and translated into a desire to simplify clothes, understanding that it is the garment that must adjust to one’s body and will, not the opposite. The collection is made with monofibre textiles, which are dyed through natural processes for low environmental impact. Melissa uses zero-waste patterns, draping, and quilting to create simple shapes and timeless cuts that are easy to deconstruct for recycling or reuse, yet also playful, with multiple combinations for each unique body type and personal style.
