Mohammed Numaan Khan is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2022. He is studying Fashion Design at ESMOD, Paris, and has also studied Fashion Business in IÉSEG School of Management, Paris.

redress Design Award Collection

Numaan's Redress Design Award collection, ‘Namaste Sustainability’, fuses feminine Indian elements with modern ready-to-wear silhouettes. Its decades-old fabrics are sourced from within Numaan's family: his grandmother’s lightweight retired Indian sarees are draped onto his father’s heavy-weighted ceremonial cotton shawls, giving them new structure and support. All the secondhand materials are also made of natural fibres, reducing their environmental impact.
