Samira Mohammed is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2022. She holds a Certificate in Basic Dress Making, Fashion Design, and Illustration from Style Temple Academy, and a Certificate in Bridal Wear and Draping from the Fashion Academy, Abuja, Nigeria.

redress Design Award Collection

Samira’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Abstraction’, envisions a world where humanity thrives in peace as Nature's own art. The collection features an upcycled patchwork of predominantly cotton fabric scraps sourced from local tailors’ markets including broadcloth, often used in male shirts, and Ankara, highlighting African heritage with its tribal-like patterns and vibrant motifs.
