Júlia Cots is a Semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2023. She is studying for her Higher Degree in Fashion Design from LCI Barcelona, Spain.

redress Design Award Collection

Júlia’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘EXO’, is inspired by the possibility of travelling between planets. She uses end-of-rolls, recycled fabrics, and waste plastic bottles transformed into filament for solar-powered 3D-printing, which are used to create thin meshes to be made into garments and can be recycled again at end of life. Designed for longevity, the straight fit allows for versatility in sizing so the garments can be worn by a variety of body types, while the neutral colour palette adds to their timeless quality.
