Lenox Pinto is a Semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2023. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from NIFT Kannur, India.

redress Design Award Collection

Lenox’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘J'aipour Homecoming’, draws inspiration from royal attire while incorporating contemporary twists. His designs include a hint of traditional brocade woven in copper yarn, silhouettes inspired by the Indian formalwear of bandhgala and angarkha, and textures mimicking animals from Jaipur, India, such as the pangolin and cheetah. Reconstructed from 100% cotton shirts sourced from local Indian markets, Lenox cuts and joins strips of the secondhand shirts, which can be unsewn at their end-of-life to create new garments. The collection is designed for longevity with classic colours such as black, white, and gold, and separate pieces that can be paired in different ways.
