Hong Kong Alumni update
Our Redress Design Award Alumni are at the forefront of a new breed of fashion designers prioritising sustainability and circularity as much as desirability. Find out what our Hong Kong alumni have been working on lately!
Angus Tsui's ‘XenoFuturist’ collection in new MIRROR music video ‘Sheesh’
Angus Tsui’s (2012 Finalist) latest collection ‘XenoFuturist’ is worn by MIRROR in the popular Hong Kong boy band’s new music video ‘Sheesh’.
His stylish and innovative looks are also featured in solo music videos from members of MIRROR: an oversized satin panel shirt in Anson Lo’s ‘Nah’, wool knit tank top in Edan Lui’s ‘ChatMrE’, and an exoskeleton double-breasted suit jacket for Keung To’s Music Panda Special performance.
In addition, Angus is showcasing a battle suit from his ‘Xenogenesis’ collection as part of the ‘Fashion Fictions’ exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery from now until 9 October. ‘Fashion Fictions’ features more than 50 national and international designers re-envisioning the future while exploring the intersection of fashion and other modes of cultural production.
