PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION STATEMENT
Your privacy is important to Redress Limited ("Company").
As an applicant for and/or a participant in "The Redress Design Award 2023" ("Competition"), the Company may receive personal data and will need to collect personal data from you and about you. The type of information that may be collected includes (but is not limited to):
Name, email address, postal address, telephone number;
Date of birth, age, nationality, gender;
Other contact details, social media accounts and photograph;
CV based information such as qualifications, employment history, educational history and awards.
Details of your designs, artwork, drawing and portfolio; and
Any other information that you provide to the Company.
The purposes for which the Company collects this data is for use concerning your application, participation in, the Competition, and/or for administration, management, reporting and implementation of the Competition as well as for handling any dispute, litigation, investigation, proceedings or enquiry. Furthermore, with your consent, we may use your name, telephone number, email address and postal address to provide you with information which we think may interest you. In this regard, the Company may provide your Marketing Data to our business partners ArtsThread and Bloomsbury Publishing who may provide promotional information to you; and the Company may receive compensation or other benefits in exchange. Such promotional information may relate to goods and services in the following lines of businesses: fashion and design.
The Company may from time to time transfer your personal data to the following classes of persons (within or outside Hong Kong):
judging panel of the Competition and the relevant persons or entities in connection with the organisation, administration and running of the Competition;
third party service providers which the Company engages in relation to the Competition, or engages to perform the functions listed above on the Company's behalf, including but not limited to the Company's marketing, application processing service providers and auditors; and
anyone you authorise.
The above classes of persons are situated in Hong Kong as well as in locations where the Company has connection or operations, where the persons in the judging panel of the competition are located and where personnel and data processing agents may perform duties for the Company. However, in some of these locations, there may not be in place data protection laws which are substantially similar to, or serve the same purpose as the data protection law in Hong Kong.
The Company will indicate whether it is mandatory or voluntary for you to provide certain types of personal data. If you do not provide complete and accurate personal data which are mandatory, there may be potentially serious consequences for you and, depending on the circumstances, the Company may not process your application for the Competition, or terminate your eligibility to participate in the Competition or withdraw any award granted in the Competition.
To the extent applicable law allows, you may request access to, and correction of, your personal data held by the Company. If you provide personal data about other individuals, you must obtain their valid consent and ensure those personal data are accurate under law prior to disclosing them to us.
