REDRESS DESIGN AWARD 2024 FINALISTS PHOTOSHOOT

The circular aesthetics displayed in the photoshoot pay tribute to the role of circularity in driving fashion towards a more sustainable future. 

Hugo Dumas
Model is wearing: 
Sleeveless secondhand organza ribbon sweater paired with cap made from Ecopel faux fur swatches, secondhand curtains and garments; long coat from advertisement posters; and zero-waste shorts from denim end-of-rolls.

Louise Boase
Model is wearing: 
Denim jacket made from unwanted mining trousers lined with leftover scraps from past projects, paired with dress skirt made from deadstock recycled jersey knit textiles.

Miranda Mallinson-Pocock
Model is wearing: 
Jacket reknit from secondhand clothing waste, paired with trousers from donated jacquard weave quilted offcuts, and vest and hat from deadstock yarn.

Nguyen Thi Dung
Model is wearing: 
Patchwork coat and vest from handwoven fabric with pineapple warp yarn and lined with old bed sheets, paired with shirt and trousers from leftover fabrics.

Dress made from pineapple leaf with protruding coils made from Himalayan nettle, both blended with Tencel and organic cotton, plus headpiece from chicken feathers.

Zero-waste jacket with large pockets made from discarded sampling yardage, paired with detachable pleated leg warmers from end-of-rolls.

Tian Ruyin

Gilet, trousers, and hat made from secondhand ribbon and cotton end-of-rolls, paired with zero-waste vest made from a single piece of secondhand ribbon.

Tiger Chung
Model is wearing: 
Trousers from secondhand jeans, used socks, and used trainers, paired with a trench coat made from sofa fabric and corset-shaped top made from used socks.

Xue Wang
Model is wearing: 
Top, dress, and gloves made from secondhand fabrics and end-of-rolls, with dress supported by hard mesh lining from secondhand wedding dress and embellished with seashells.

Zari Qanei
Model is wearing: 
Long sleeve top and headpiece made from secondhand net fabric with Khos embroidery; embroidered velvet shawl top from end-of-rolls; lace and velvet patchwork skirt from end-of-rolls and cut-and-sew waste.
