Chung Tsz Ho is a Rising Talent of the Redress Design Award 2023. They hold a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from Nottingham Trent University and a Higher Diploma in Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).

“I became a  sustainable fashion designer because of the mottled beauty of recycled materials. It is beauty that keeps clothing from being cast aside as ‘fashion garbage’.” – Chung Tsz Ho

For the Redress Design Award, Tsz Ho was inspired by traditional Tibetan clothing and the ancient Chinese ghost story of“Painted Skin”. Their collection concept, ‘Artificial beauty’, highlights the anxiety of the current fashion environment with “anti-fashion” through designing for low waste, in an attempt to oppose modern social issues such as consumerism, trend-chasing, and environmental pollution. They source sustainable materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, recycled polyester, and even cleaned animal bones from kitchen waste.
