Giovanni Libero Zocchetta is a Semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2023. They are studying for their bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Technology at IFA Paris, France.

redress Design Award Collection

Giovanni’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘If only thoughts were tangible…’, is inspired by early 20th-century physics experiments that gave form to invisible concepts like sound waves. His collection is created with low-impact materials including light silk chiffon end-of-rolls and deadstock fabrics, and structurally designed so that pieces can be made into home decor or sent for recycling at their end-of-life. Giovanni uses technology such as 3D modelling and 3D printing to reduce the need for physical samples, reducing his carbon footprint.

Giovanni was also a Rising Talent of the Redress Design Award 2022.
