Yaroslava Kovalenko is a Semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2023. She is studying costume design at B&D Institute of Business and Design, Russia.

redress Design Award Collection

Yaroslava's Redress Design Award collection, ‘SINIE CHUBRIKI’, celebrates the character and versatility of jeans. Her collection uses the original fabric and cut of jeans to create complex and multi-layered images including a multifunctional belt that can alter the garment’s silhouette in many ways. With denim being a wear-resistant material , Yaroslava’s designs illustrate how unsold clothing waste need not be destroyed, but can be given new life.
