簡介

Mandy Fong’s sustainable womenswear fashion brand SZMAN offers casual couture for daily life. The designs present a vintage mood with raw edges, patchwork, and inside-out fabrics, keeping the original features of the waste textiles. Mandy also designs with low-impact materials like eco-fur, natural fibres like cotton and wool, as well as polyester end-of-rolls, cut-and-sew waste, and unsold clothing from Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong’s fabric district.

Mandy was the Hong Kong Best winner of the Redress Design Award 2023.

受家居廢料問題啟發，Mandy 的「Redress設計大獎」系列「Start From Zero」探索了將家紡織廢料升級改造為兼具美學與實用多功能服裝的可能性。 Mandy 的設計結合了零廢棄和升級再造技術呈現出復古氣息，她以毛邊、拼布工藝和內翻布料保留了廢舊紡織品的原來面貌。 她的設計更採用低環境影響物料如生態毛皮、棉花和羊毛等天然纖維、卷軸尾端聚酯布料、裁剪和縫紉廢料以及來自香港深水埗布料區的未售出衣服。
