Redress Design Award Collection
Gil Justin’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘TANGLAW-AN’, reflects the designer’s emotions toward the fashion industry’s many contrasts – lightness and instability, strength and emotion – and embodies the idea of growing with purpose while embracing uncertainty. Garments are made mostly with upcycled materials, including unwanted textile scraps and UV-cleaned ocean plastics, which are used as structural fill, lining, and patterning. Gil Justin keeps his design methods intentionally simple and adaptable so they can be replicated without resource-intensive technology.
