Stina’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Paleoart’, is a reflection on society’s dependence on fossil fuels, with shapes, colours, and textures inspired by motifs found in fossils and dinosaurs. Her collection features detachable sleeves fastened with clips from secondhand suspenders, buttons at the waistband of her skirt, and loose silhouettes that can fit different body types, creating adjustability and versatility. Stina also utilises unique waste textiles such as pantyhose stockings with holes or a T-shirt with a print from an old local bakery, giving them new life with greater value.
