Bio

Karen is a textile artist and designer, established her sustainable label in the year 2012 in Berlin. She is recognised as an early pioneer of upcycling, and her focus lies in the dedicated development of reused materials for artistic creations.

After winning Redress Design Award 2013 first prize, Karen Jessen designed the third Recycled Collection by Esprit launching in Autumn 2014 and retailed in nine markets across Asia and Europe. Karen continues to make waves in the fashion industry and has been featured at Berlin and Paris Fashion Weeks . Karen previously lectured at ESMOD Berlin and Mediencollege Berlin and holds a Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting degree from ESMOD Berlin.
