Lina Mayorga is a finalist of the Redress Design Award 2017. Colombian by nationality, she is currently developing her fashion brand and is a fashion and beauty blogger. Lina holds a degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, USA.

Sustainable design is my medium to promote love and compassion for our planet while honing my passion in fashion design. Fashion and sustainability should not be mutually exclusive, but mutually beneficial to create a better world for future generations. My desire is to break the stereotypes of sustainable clothing and prove that it can be mainstream and also luxurious for everyone, everywhere. - Lina Mayorga

redress Design Award Collection

For her Redress Design Award (formerly the EcoChic Design Award)application, Lina is inspired by the United Nations conference that she attended on the 2030 sustainable development goals. She applies the design techniques of up-cycling and reconstruction using textile waste, sourced from a textile recycling company.
