Redress Design Award Collection

Povilas’ Redress Design Award collection, ‘The Familiar Other’, is inspired by the loud and garish aesthetic of ‘90s Lithuania, representing a period of rebuilding in between its independence from the USSR and entry into the EU. The collection upcycles textile waste to create bold, quirky looks including a net balaclava made from discarded rope, top made from a rejected batch of labels, and overalls made from redyed secondhand hoodies.
