BRAND

Grace Lant was awarded the Redress Design Award 2020 Hong Kong Best Prize. She co-founded her brand Love From Blue, a contemporary knitwear label crafted with consciousness, in 2020. The brand’s non-traditional pre-order model, including sourcing of unused yarn and small production runs ensures every customer's garment is limited edition. They exclusively uses high quality natural fibres and deadstock yarns, and works with local factories to create their unisex pieces.

Grace holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion Knitwear from Central Saint Martins and a Master’s Degree in Creative Knitwear Design from Accademia Costume e Moda, Italy.

“To me, sustainable fashion is a means of maintaining creation and expression through the form of textiles and garments, without creating a negative impact on the world. The designer must think beyond the final garment design, through its life and how it will eventually give back. redress Design Award Collection

For her Redress Design Award collection, Amalgamation, Grace draws inspiration from the resilience and resourcefulness of minority groups that are often disregarded by the mainstream, creating a timeless collection that can last a lifetime. Her zero-waste collection is created from a wide range of unwanted textiles sourced from some of the best Italian and Hong Kong mills, including deadstock, sampling yardage and end-of-rolls.
