Bio

Janus Ha launched her handmade womenswear label if.or__seeyou in 2021 with a mission to create valued, zero-burden fashion from upcycled industrial surplus textiles. She sources deadstock garments and fabrics from factories, local tailors, sampling workshops, and boutiques. These materials are turned into signature fashion pieces using handicraft techniques like pleating and smocking that define the brand’s vintage aesthetic, as well as providing versatile fit and sizing modifications to increase the wearability of the garment for different body types.

As part of her brand ethos, Janus documents the creative process for her clients so as to further strengthen the bond between the garment and user. Her vision is to create more accessible and affordable sustainable clothing embedded with a soul through her unique styles.

Most recently, if.or__seeyou was showcased as part of the month-long ‘Designing Circularity’ sustainable lifestyle exhibition organised by the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hong Kong’s Central Market. Janus is displaying her new collection in the 2026 Re wearable Art Upgrade & Reconstruction Series, the series brought to those lone travellers still on their journey, and the garments are designed with the ethos of slowstitching, paired with her signature go-to technique of smocking

With over ten years of fashion design experience, Janus has strong roots in the Hong Kong fashion industry. She is a First Class Honours graduate from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a specialism in natural dyes.
