Meet The Designer

“I don’t see sustainability as a separate thing, but just how I work and live. I work with what already exists, old clothes, damaged textiles, things around me, and try to give them another life without hiding their flaws.”

Redress Design Award Collection

Mohamad’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Remnants of Shelter’, draws inspiration from the designer’s memories of growing up in the Himalayan foothills, where cold weather and layered winter clothing were part of everyday life. His collection uses discarded wool knits, blankets from his grandfather’s army closet, and canvas waste, reconstructing them into new forms. Mohamed explores how these materials already carry warmth, damage, and history, choosing to keep visible their scars, frayed edges, and textures.
